I’m a Registered Social Worker and therapist with nearly 20 years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of life experiences and challenges. My professional background includes working in group homes, child services, long-term care, medical settings, schools, and private practice.
Throughout my career, I’ve supported individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life stressors, self-esteem and relationship concerns, grief and loss, caregiver burnout, emotional regulation difficulties, and challenges with coping and resilience.
I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from Laurentian University and a Master of Social Work from Dalhousie University. My additional training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy.
I use an integrative approach, drawing from different therapeutic modalities to meet each person’s individual needs, experiences, and goals. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we’ll work together to find strategies and approaches that feel meaningful and practical for you.
I understand that life can be busy, demanding, and sometimes overwhelming. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can be yourself, talk openly, and feel supported as you work toward the changes that matter to you.
